David Carrasco - Buda, TX

I’m a proud 20-year U.S. Army veteran with a lifelong passion for fishing, the outdoors, and serving others. Those years in the military instilled the discipline, patience, and commitment that continue to guide me both on and off the water.

Today, I guide clients on the Guadalupe River, specializing in trout/Bass fishing and creating unforgettable first-catch experiences. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone feel that first tug on the line and seeing the excitement that follows. Whether it’s introducing a beginner to fly fishing or helping an experienced angler improve their skills, my goal is always the same—to create lasting memories and build confidence on the water.

To further develop my craft, I completed both the Basic and Advanced Guide Programs at Sweetwater Guide School in Montana and continued my education at WorldCast Anglers Guide School in Victor, Idaho, refining my technical river skills on the legendary Snake River. Those experiences strengthened not only my abilities as a guide but also my appreciation for conservation, professionalism, and the responsibility that comes with representing our sport.

When I’m not guiding, I compete in the Texas Bass Nation Kayak Series, where I continue to challenge myself against some of the best kayak anglers in the state. Whether I’m chasing trout in moving water or targeting bass from a kayak, I bring the same passion, preparation, and professionalism to every day on the water.

GOALS

My mission extends beyond guiding and tournament fishing. I want to represent brands that share my values of integrity, education, conservation, and community while continuing to grow as both a professional guide and competitive kayak angler.

As I compete in the 2026 Texas Bass Nation Kayak Series and expand my guiding business on the Guadalupe River, I hope to partner with companies that believe in authentic relationships and meaningful engagement with anglers. I strive to be more than just a logo on a jersey—I want to be an ambassador who educates, inspires, and positively represents the brands I support through tournaments, social media, community outreach, and every client I guide.

My long-term vision is to continue building a reputation as a trusted guide, respected competitor, and passionate advocate for the sport while helping introduce more people to the incredible experiences that fishing provides.
