2001–Present: Kansas tournament angler with multiple wins, Top 5 finishes, and Angler of the Year (2008).

2013–2021: Competed in Bassmaster Opens, improving to consistent Top 65–28 finishes.

2020–2024: Fished MLF Phoenix Boats BFL, earning Top 25–Top 10 finishes.

2024–Present: Kansas Bass Nation competitor; 13th (2025) and 3rd (2026) at Championships, qualifying for Bassmaster Nation Championships.

Fishing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It started with a bobber, a tub of worms, and countless days on the water with my grandpa chasing bluegill, perch, and panfish. Those early trips taught me patience, respect for the outdoors, and the importance of time spent with the people you love.

As I got older, my passion grew. The fish got bigger, the challenges increased, and every season brought new goals. But my greatest memories were never about the fish. They were about the time spent with my grandpa.

When he was diagnosed with cancer, every fishing trip became priceless. I learned everything he had to teach while creating memories I’ll never forget. After he passed away, the loss was too painful, and I couldn’t pick up a fishing rod for years.

In 2012, I returned to the water and realized fishing was more than a hobby. It was my therapy. It brought peace, healing, and reminded me where I belonged.

I became involved in the Central Texas tournament scene, fishing bank tournaments with Bass Grabbers ATX before transitioning to kayak tournaments with KATS. I also competed with RPG Outdoors, online tournaments, and benefit events supporting meaningful causes.

In late 2020, Justin Mayes and David Melton asked me to help launch the Kayak Division for All Starr Fishing. Over five years, I helped grow the trail from 9–10 anglers per event into one of the largest kayak tournament series in the area, averaging 60–70 anglers.

Today, I continue competing in TXKBL, the Lone Star Throwdown, and other regional trails when time allows. Whether competing, volunteering, or enjoying a quiet morning on the water, fishing remains my escape, therapy, and passion.

Every time I launch my kayak, I carry my grandpa’s legacy with me. Success isn’t measured only by fish caught, but by the relationships built, anglers encouraged, and the opportunity to grow the sport for future generations. I’ll never forget where it all began, with a bobber, a tub of worms, and the greatest fishing partner I could have asked for.
